On Thursday, August 13th, 80 firefighters from across Texas, some from as far as the Rio Grande Valley, West Texas, DFW, and many from right here at home in Guadalupe County, gathered at McQueeney VFW as internationally renowned instructor Battalion Chief Kyle Romagus of East Montgomery County & Smoothbore Cartel presented his class Cruel Intentions.
The 4 hour class covered fire science, fire behavior, victim survivability, and modern fire attack. In depth reviews were conducted of previous LODD (Line Of Duty Death) fires and lessons learned. All attending firefighters left with a better understanding of the job and how to better serve our respective communities and citizens, now possessing new knowledge and skills.
We appreciate Chief Romagus taking the time to come and speak and educate our department and others and all the firefighters who attended.

This is the 4th national level training event that McQueeney Fire Department has hosted this year locally and another example of our departments commitment to providing the highest level of service to the citizens of our district and Guadalupe County.
