McQueeney Volunteers Work Hard to Remain Always Ready

McQueeney VFD volunteers work very hard and put in countless hours to keep our vehicles and equipment in good working order, completely stocked with needed supplies and ready to respond to any emergency that should arise in our community. We are fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who are willing and able to make almost any repair that is needed as well as respond capably to any emergency. The pictures below show some of the tasks they have done just over the last month, many in blazing heat. They have repaired a water leak under our parking lot, which required sawing through foot thick concrete for many yards, then replacing the leaking pipes and repaving the dig. They have also cleaned the station, replaced tires on vehicles and attended many training exercises. Last week they stretched out and pressure tested all of our supply hoses. Remember, these are all unpaid volunteers who have jobs and families–they generously give us their spare time to keep our community safe.  If you know any of these McQueeney VFD members, please thank them for the services they provide our community!
