Mc Queeney Volunteers Take Part in Tower Climb
Three members of the McQueeney Volunteer Fire Department participated in the annual Tower Climb commemorating those firefighters and first responders that lost their lives in the terrorist attack at the twin towers in New York on 9/11/2001. The participants climb the Tower of the Americas twice to represent the 110 floors of the towers that were destroyed. On that fateful day, 343 firefighters, 70 law enforcement offers and 9 EMS personnel perished attempting to save the lives of the occupants of the towers. Representing the McQueeney Volunteer Fire Department were Interim Chief Ray Salas, Lt. Jonathan Dominguez, and Lt. Stephen Talavera.
McQueeney Elementary Field Day
McQueeney Elementary held Field Days on Thursday, May 11th and Friday May 12th. The students were allowed to participate in a number of fun outdoor activities, and treated to snow cones. The McQueeney Volunteer Fire Department was on site with several of their vehicles including their ladder truck. Students were “cooled down” with spray from the trucks and hoses.

We want very much to keep servicing this area, and ask that you sign the petition for McQueeney VFD to retain service to the area. Residents of the following areas may lose our protection:

Easter With the McQueeney Fire Department
