Shiny New Red Truck to be added to the McQueeney VFD Fleet
Our McQueeney VFD Chief, Michael Wiedner, is currently in Florida doing the final inspection of our brand new Engine 11!!! As a department, we would like to thank the community from the bottom of our hearts for helping us make this purchase possible.
We work hard to better serve the community of McQueeney and of Guadalupe County every single day! McQueeney VFD Says Goodbye to Phil Vasille
After 11 years of dedicated service in a number of capacities, Phil Vasille has decided to retire. He and his wife will be moving to the northwest to be closer to their children. We thank Phil for his service to the department and will definitely miss him! A celebration in his honor was held on April 18th.

On Saturday, April 9th, area children were treated to a visit with the Easter Bunny, along with breakfast and fun activities with the McQueeney VFD volunteers!

Neighborhood Children Celebrate Valentines Day With Local Firefighters
On February 12th, the McQueeney VFD station opened its doors to neigborhood families to do valentine activities with the firefighters. The children made valentines, colored pictures and decorated cookies. They were also treated to all types of valentine snacks.
HOME DEPOT MAKES $1000 DONATION TO MCQUEENEY VFD
Home Depot surprised the McQueeney VFD on Thursday with a $1000 donation! Accepting the donation were Chief Michael Wiedner and members of the department. Also shown are representatives from Home Depot.
Pancakes and Pajamas
On Saturday, December 11th, children from McQueeney and neighboring areas were treated to a Christmas party at Station #1. The children ate pancakes prepared by the McQueeney VFD volunteers, decorated ornaments and cookies, and had a chance to visit and have their pictures taken with Santa. Coloring pages and a jump castle were also available. The children enjoyed a fun morning with the McQueeney volunteers. The event was free, but donations were accepted.
